Accessible LaTeX template for thesis and dissertation documents at UC Irvine, based on the official formatting manual available at: https://guides.lib.uci.edu/gradmanual. For best results, set the compiler to LuaLaTeX and the TeX Live version to 2025 or later. Additional instructions for creating accessible documents with LaTeX are included in the template itself. Queries and updates should be directed to https://github.com/ifigs/uci-thesis-latex.

We are hoping that the packages for expressing math symbols become more compliant in this regard, but as of today, that is how this must be dealt with. https://grad.wisc.edu/current-students/doctoral-guide/#dissertation-guide is the link for formatting requirements.
